Hydraulic settling booster for activated sludge steps for new or existing settling tanks
Static, energy-free, with no added chemicals, Speed-O-Clar® is made up of unalterable, maintenance-free, wear-free HDPE deflectors.
Hydraulically calculated, the :
- reverses the currents in the clarifier,
- accelerates decantation by accompanying the sludge in the direction of the counter-currents created,
- therefore eliminates the sludge veil:
- increases yields for TSS, phosphates, nitrates and COD
- Reduces inputs (ferric chloride, polymers)
- Reduces energy consumption by reducing recirculation, which is limited to 50%.
Operation and features
A clarifier equipped with Speed-O-Clar® can pass more than 1 m³/h per m² of mirror surface without sludge discharge. It only requires continuous recirculation limited to 50% of the flow entering the step.
It can be installed on all circular clarifiers with rotating bridge and peripheral motor. The sludge veil disappears in favor of a settling front very close to the bottom. The Speed-O-Clar® brings peace of mind to the operation of activated sludge plants.
The new generation of Speed-O-Clar®, patented in 2020, is already widely available.
Speed-O-Clar® is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and assembled with stainless steel bolting + stainless steel clamping belt.
